Why this site compares rather than explains

The cluster already publishes a full account of both options: the anatomy of facial ageing, the planes, the incision patterns and the physics of energy delivery sit on the facelift and laser material and in Dr. Mao's own writing. Reproducing that here would help nobody. This site exists for the stage before it, where someone is deciding between a course of treatment and an operation and needs to know whether her problem is in the skin or in the position of the tissue. The comparison rules for this type of page are the opposite of how comparison pages are usually written: compare the facts, give both columns equal weight, and never present one option as the default.

Why this page does not pick one

A course of non-surgical treatment changes the skin and reaches nothing beneath it; an operation repositions what lies beneath and does not improve the skin. A page that ended by declaring one of them the answer would have answered a different question from the one the reader arrived with. Every row here is a fact pair rather than a score. The comparison is resolved in an examination, where laxity and descent are told apart on your own face, and not on a page.

How it is reviewed

Content is medically reviewed by Tongchun Mao, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Aesthetic Surgery at Chongqing West District Hospital, and the review date appears on every article. The site names no device and no brand and describes energy treatment by class only, quotes no dosage and no price, guarantees no outcome, and states plainly that facelift scars are permanent and carry nerve risk, and that non-surgical change fades and is repeated.

What no website can do

It cannot tell you how much of your change is laxity and how much is descent, whether your skin would hold a lifted shape, or how you would heal. Those answers require an examination rather than a description. Read this site to arrive at that appointment able to describe what bothers you and to ask what each option would leave untouched — not to arrive at a conclusion without it.
